(22 Jan 1930, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
THOMAS FUNERAL HELD IN CANUTE
Funeral services were held Monday for Mrs. Mattie Lucinda Thomas, wife of
Clayburn H. Thomas, pioneer resident of the Canute community. Mrs. Thomas
was born in Arkansas, January 28, 1867 and died at her home near Canute,
Sunday, January 19.
Funeral services were held at the home.  Interment was made in the Young's
Cemetery (Custer County) with Grubitz and Son, Elk City funeral directors,
in charge of arrangements.
