(25 Mar 1920, Elk City News Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): DEATH OF FORREST THOMSON Forrest Thomson, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Thomson and grandson of D. H. McDonald, died at the home of his parents Monday morning, after an illness of several months from tumor of the brain. The little fellow made a brave fight for life. He was taken to specialists and everything done for him that possibly could be done, was tenderly cared for in the home, and neighbors and friends were always anxious to assist in looking after him. He was a bright manly boy, obedient and thoughtful, of his loved ones and friends. Forrest was born in Washita Co., Oklahoma, November 11th, 1909, and died March 22, 1920, aged ten years, four months and eleven days. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock, Rev. O. A. Pankey, officiating. Interment at the Thomson cemetery in charge of Grubitz & Son. The News-Democrat and friends of this community extend to the stricken relatives their heart-felt sympathy.
