Tillman, age 39 years, 5 months, and four days. The cause of her death was tuberculosis which she fought for nine years. She leaves four children a loving husband and a host of friends to mourn her death. Mr. Tillman's brother, O. L. Tillman and sister Mrs. G. W. Byrd of this place were present. Also his brother I. W. Tillman and family of near Lawton and his sister Mrs. Lulu St. John of Moneta, Calif. Funeral services were conducted by Elder Andrew Nelson of Oklahoma City. Mrs. Tillman was conscious to the very last and died peacefully having put her trust and hope in the soon coming Savior. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, and took active part in all the services until a few weeks before her death. Mr. and Mrs. Tillman made their home near Bellview for several years but have since lived in Lawton. Mrs. St. John will continue to make her home with the bereaved family, and helping care for the little ones who are left without a mother's care, but who have also learned the secret of trusting God for all their needs. Many friends of this place extend sympathy to the sorrowing ones. --------------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/beckham/beckham.htm
