(24 Jul 1924, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
DEATH OF ORA L. TILLMAN
A letter to Mrs. Bessie Allen who is now at Moorewood, written July 9th,
tells of the death of O. L. Tillman, formerly of this place, but who has
been living in Glendale, Calif.  It was said the doctors could not tell
what the trouble was, and they held a post mortem, Mrs. Tillman giving her
consent to this, only with the thought that someone else might be
benefitted by it.  They found a cancer on his lung and heart and took
three quarts of water off his heart.  His heart had bursted and he had
suffered great agony before his death.
