Chas. Tindall Meets With Serious and Probably Fatal Accident. Last Sunday evening at about 7:45 o'clock Chas Tindell (sic) met the west bound passenger train for the purpose of sending his father away who has been visiting him. Charles took his father on the Pullman and stayed until the train started, when he started for the west door of the car. In trying to jump off, he lost his balance, falling under the train, the hind brakes passing over his right leg almost completely lacerating it about three inches above the ankle. Drs. McComas and Watson were called to the depot to attend him. It was necessary to amputate the right foot. Besides this great loss Mr. Tindell sustained some very painful and ugly wounds on his head. Mr. Tindell is an elegant gentleman. Having been bookkeeper for several years in Elk City and gave perfect satisfaction to each of his employers. His numerous friends sympathize with him and his wife in his trouble and have ministered to him in his suffering with untiring energy.
