J.M. Ashley officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m., Monday, at the Imperial Memorial Gardens in Pueblo, Colorado, under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home in Elk City. Mary Irene Tryon was born August 10, 1913 at Ochiltree, Texas to Edward and Mary Ann Mallett Sollock and died Saturday, March 23, 2002 at the age of 88. She moved to Brisco, Texas with the family where she attended school and played basketball for the Brisco Baby Boomers. She moved to California during WW II and worked as a supervisor in the San Diego Shipyards. She then moved to Pueblo, Colorado and worked for the Pueblo Army Ordinance Army Depot. She met and married Merwyn Tryon on July 16, 1946 and they worked together at the Army Depot for several years. Mary was also as chef and worked at several restaurants around Pueblo and surrounding communities until she moved to Elk City in 1987. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; one stepdaughter, Carline Hayes and 11 brothers and sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Ginger Habekott and husband Lester of Elk City and Caroline Seely and husband Brad of Mansfield, Texas; one sister, Stella Rachley of Amarillo, Texas; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
