TURNER, GERTRUDE
(30 Jan 1930, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Turner, resident near Hammon, were held
at 1 o'clock this afternoon in the Methodist Episcopal church, south, in
Hammon with Rev. J. E. Trent officiating.
Mrs. Turner died Monday, January 27, at her home.  She was 75 years, 3
months and 2 days old.  She was born in Louisiana, October 27, 1853.  Mrs.
Turner's husband, John I. Turner, died two years ago.
Surviving Mrs. Turner are nine children, five sons and four daughters, all
of whom live near Hammon.
Interment was made in the Red Hills cemetery (Roger Mills County), with
Gentry-Killough, funeral directors, in charge.
