E. TURNER DIES AT SISTER'S HOME J. E. Turner was an old citizen here, and returned from Oklahoma City last June to make his home with his sister who lives south of town. He had been suffering with stomach trouble for some time and hoped to recuperate with quiet living and proper food at his sister's. He gradually became worse and the end came last Tuesday, December 5. Funeral services were held by H. S. DeVore at the M. E. Church, South, Wednesday, 3:30 p.m. Interment was at Fairlawn. Mr. Turner at one time run (sic) the Elk City Ice, Light and Fuel Co., and was one of our active business men. He was a member of the Masonic order and leaves many friends here.
