TURNEY, MARIA
(18 May 1916, Elk City Leader, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Mr. Turney died at his home south of Canute on May 12, 1916, of a
complication of diseases incident to old age.
His friends were all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance.  His cares
are at an end, his voyage is done and his spirit has winged its glad
flight to bask in the sunlight of heavenly love.  To this mourning family
consolatory words can be but vain, yet in his death we would have them
recognize the bountiful love of our Heavenly Father, who saw mete to take
him from the trials and crosses of this life.

DEATH OF GRANDPA TURNEY
Grandpa Turney living four miles south of Canute, died last Friday, aged
90 years, 6 months and 10 days.  Just four weeks before his wife was laid
to rest.  The Chandler & Robinson hearse was used at the funeral.
