All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ************************************************ VANDINE, ALVY (5 Sep 1918, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): DEATH OF ALVY VANDINE Alvy Vandine died in the Seattle, Wash., General Hospital, on August 21st, 1918, after undergoing a serious operation. He lived south of Elk City for fourteen years, and moved to Seattle with his parents, a year ago last May and was employed in the shipyards until taken to the hospital. He was sixteen years of age. Funeral services were conducted by Eld. Gardner of the Church of Christ, and he was laid to rest in the Mount Pleasant cemetery of Seattle. He leaves to mourn his loss his parents, a sister, Mrs. Ida Hess, brothers, W. E. and H. A. Vandine, all of Seattle, also one brother in France, Milas N. Vandine, a sister, Mrs. Mittle Miller of Elk City.
