"Callie" (11 Aug 1922, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): MRS. W. A. VINEYARD Mrs. W. A. Vineyard died at her home on West Fifth St., Thursday, August 10, at 4:30 a.m., after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held at the South Methodist church Thursday at 4:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. C. E. Heisel. Interment at Fairlawn. (17 Aug 1922, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Mrs. Callie Vinyard (sic), nee Neece, was born in Union county, Georgia, December 22, 1870, and died in Elk City, Oklahoma, August 10, 1922, age 51 years, 7 months and 18 days. At about the age of eighteen, she accepted Christ as her Savior, and was baptised, while living with her parents in Christian county, Mo. From Missouri she moved with the family to Montague county, Texas, where she joined the Methodist Protestant church. Miss Neece was married to William T. Solomon in Montague county in the month of September 1890. This marriage relation was severed by death, after two years. One son, Ernest Solomon, lives as a result of this union. On the 29th day of January 1896 Mrs. Solomon was united in marriage to William A. Vinyard (sic) in Montague county, Texas, and remained devoted to him until death. To this union were born one son Luther, and one daughter, Thelma. Mrs. Vinyard with her husband joined the United Brethren church in the early nineties at Bella Vista, Okla., in which church she was a consistent member to the close of her life. There remains to mourn, her husband, and the above named children, her aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. Neece, three brothers, Joseph V.; Robert Luther and Charles Efton, and two sisters, Mrs. Julia Shrimp and Mrs. (sic) Myrtle Neece, besides a host of friends. Mrs. J. C. Wells of Wellington, Texas, who came in last week to be with her brother, W. A. Vinyard (sic) during the illness and death of Mrs. Vinyard, returned to her home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Wells publish the only paper in Wellington. Her mother, Mrs. M. C. Vinyard of Claude, Texas, who was here last week, returned with her, also W. A.
