VISE, IRIS D.
(2 Mar 1929, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Iris Dene Vise was born December 21, 1918 in Elk City and died April 28,
1929 at the age of 10 years, 4 months and 7 days.  She is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Vise living 10 miles north of town.  Other near
relatives to mourn her departure are her three brothers, Dewey, Harley and
Lee Vise and one sister Una Vise and Grandpa and Grandma Volk.
She has always attended school in Elk City and this year was in Miss
Willie Tomlinson's room of 4-A students.  She was sick about three weeks
before death came.  She was afflicted with influenza and complications of
other diseases.  Everything possible was done for her recovery, a
specialist was called in, but they were of no avail.
The funeral was held in Gentry-Killough funeral parlor on April 29th, with
Rev. E. C. Webb, pastor of the Broadway Methodist church, officiating. 
Interment was made in the Fairlawn cemetery with Gentry-Killough in
charge.
