JAMES HENDERSON WAGGONER James Henderson Waggoner was born to Mr. and Mrs. George Waggoner June 24, 1852, in Smith county, Tennessee. He moved with his parents to Russelville, Ky., where he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage August 7, 1972 to Miss Marguarete Tooley. They moved to Fort Worth, Tex. and later located at Pilot Point, Tex. To this union nine children were born, Elias Pinkney, found missing at the age of 19 years, Thomas Townsend of Claude, Tex., Victor Hugo of Myard, New Mex., Mrs. Betty Ann Cheatam of Laveeu, Ariz., Mrs. Jennie Myers of Clinton, Okla., Mrs. Gracy Lee Barnett of Pasadena, Calif., Leaborn Geirge (George) Waggoner, deceased, Lawrence Waggoner, deceased and Jimmie Waggonner, deceased. His wife died April 8, 1921, and was buried in Taylor cemetery beside their children. Mr. Waggoner was married in 1923 to Mrs. Anna B. Redding of Elk City. They moved to Pampa, Texas, where they lived until Feb. 10, 1934, when he was struck by an automobile, bruised about the head severely, he was taken to the Pampa hospital where his brother Ben Waggoner and his daughter, Mrs. Jennie Myers of Clinton cared for him until he was able to be moved to the home of his daughter. It seemed for a time that Mr. Waggoner would be able to overcome the shock from the accident but a stroke of paralysis caused the end Saturday morning at 3:35. Mr. Waggoner is survived by his wife, two sons and three daughters and a number of grand children and great grandchildren. The two sons, three daughters, wife, one brother and one grand daughter Mrs. Bonnie Hutchinson of Canton, Kansas, arrived Saturday night and Sunday for the funeral held at the Taylor church, Monday, April 16, at 2:30 p.m. The funeral was preached by Rev. Vaughn Cordell with interment in the Taylor cemetery. Mr. Waggoner leaves a host of friends and relatives to mourn his death. Record Note: Date of Death 14 Apr 1934 Taylor/Waggoner Cemetery
