WALKER, MARY
(Feb 1908, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Mary Walker.
Mary Walker was born on Nov. 8, 1846, in Pennsylvania and at her death was
71 (sic) years old.  She with her husband came to Oklahoma a number of
years ago and settled on a claim two miles west of Butler.  She leaves
five children and a host of friends to mourn her death.  The funeral
services were conducted by Rev. J. H. Tull at the M. E. Church Sunday at
11 a.m.  The interment took place at the Butler Cemetery (Custer County). 
It was one of the largest funerals ever seen in this vicinity.  Her
husband, Thos. Walker, preceeded her having died last May.  The relatives
have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.
