(15 Nov 1909, Wednesday, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): DIED. Saturday morning at 4 o'clock, Nov. 6, the death angle (sic) came and the spirit of the patient sufferer, Mrs. Mollie T. Walker, went home. Sister Walker was born in Calaway County, Missouri, October 6, 1856. Her parents moved to Texas when she was a child. She was converted at 13 and joined the Berdville Baptist church. She was a model wife and mother, a kind friend and neighbor, and a most patient sufferer. Among her last words were these: "I have fought a good fight, I have kept the faith; henceforth, there is laid up a crown of righteousness for me." The many friends in Texas and in Oklahoma extend their deep sympathy to the grief stricken family. The burial took place at the Delhi Cemetery. L. L. Lusk, Pastor. --------------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/beckham/beckham.htm
