WALLACE Mrs. Maude L. Wallace, 54, former long-time Elk City resident, but more recently of 529 Southwest Twenty-fourth street, Oklahoma City, died at her home there Monday, March 6, 1944 after a lingering illness. She was born September 23, 1889 in Tennessee and had married Lawrence Wallace on April 10, 1933 at Big Spring, Texas. Surviving along with her husband at the home address are her daughters Mrs. Oscar Gibson, Elk City, Mrs. Harry Jones, Elk City and Mrs. Clarence Kingery, Ft. Worth, Texas. One child also preceded her in death. Funeral arrangements have been set for Wednesday, March 8 at 2:00 p.m. in Elk City, from the First Christian church, Reverend Wallace Beeds(?), Sayre, officiating with interment in East Fairlawn.
