ROY WALTON After many weeks of illness and suffering, Mrs. Hazel Walton, wife of Roy Walton, died Tuesday morning, February 21st at the Elk City Hospital of tumor of the brain, aged 31 years, 2 months and 17 days. Funeral services are being held this afternoon at the First M. E. Church, Rev. S. F. Lancaster and Rev. DeVore officiating. The deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Repass, of Grimes. She was born in Tuscarowas county, Ohio, and moved with her parents to Grimes about 1908. In 1910 she was married to E. Roy Walton, who with three daughters, Grace, Ruth and Nellie are left to mourn the loss of a most devoted wife and mother. Her parents with three brothers and four sisters survive. A sister Mrs. Neva Robinson died last June, being the first death in the Repass family. Two sisters live in Elk City, Mrs. Millie Turbyfill, and Mrs. Nellie Parry. Another sister, Mrs. Myrtle Mitchell, lives at Clinton and Mrs. Bessie Lancaster of Dalhart, Texas. Every care was given Mrs. Walton, her husband being so attentive and doing all he could to alleviate her sufferings, and in death had her prepared in a beautiful manner. He is broken hearted over the loss of the one who has been the light of his home since their marriage. She had carefully trained her little girls and was ever interested in their welfare. The day before she passed away the girls visited her, and she was able to talk to them and they spoke several pieces for her which she enjoyed so much. Their remembrance of their dear mother will ever be of the sweetest. She became a member of the M. E. Church when a young girl. Grubitz & Son has charge of the interment which will be made at the Fairlawn cemetery. (24 Feb 1922, Friday, Southwest Press, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): DIED. Mrs. Hazel Leah Walton of Grimes died here Monday in a hospital. She was 31 years, two months and 17 days old.
