(24 Jun 1908, Wednesday, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): OBITUARY. Died. Thursday, June 18th, 1908 at 8:30 p.m., of apoplexy, Lycurcus Decater Warren. He was born Oct. 27th, 1845, in Oktibbeha Co., Miss., from where his parents moved to Illinois while he was still a child. After reaching his majority he moved to Kansas and from there to Kingfisher County, Oklahoma, in 1889. He came to Berlin, in 1902 when he bought the Davenport farm which has been his home ever since. He was a worthy member of the Missionary Baptist Association and also a member in good standing of the Order of Odd Fellows, holding the position of LS.V.G. in Berlin Lodge No. 137. He leaves a mourning wife, seven children, four grandchildren, two sisters and one brother. Funeral services were conducted under the auspices of the Odd Fellows of Berlin Lodge and the respect and estimation in which Bro. Warren is held was well attested and assisted to in the last sad rites. May he rest in peace. (25 Jun 1908, Thursday, Elk City Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Died at his home one-half mile north of Berlin, June 18th at 8 o'clock, Brother L. D. Warren, L.S.V.G. Berlin I.O.O.F. 137, leaves wife, one son, two daughters, four step-children and four grandchildren, Rev. Duncan of Sayre conducted the funeral service, and he was buried at 4 o'clock June 19th by Berlin Lodge I.O.O.F.
