(Feb 1929, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Henry D. Weaver was born in Alabama, September 4, 1846. He died February 17, 1929, at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 13 days. Funeral services were held at the Gentry-Killough chapel, February 18, at 3:00 o'clock. Rev. A. S. Kattner of the First Methodist church, officiated. Interment was made in Fairlawn cemetery. Gentry-Killough, funeral directors, had charge of arrangements. Obituary. Henry D. Weaver was born September 4, 1846, near Tuscaloose, Ala., passed away February 17, 1929, at the home of his grand-daughters, Mrs. Cecil Reynolds, near Elk City, Okla., at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 13 days. He was married to Susin (sic) Snyder in 1864 in Alabama. To this union three children were born, William Weaver, Mrs. M. F. Hallman of Elk City, and Mrs. H. R. Mansell of Abeline (sic), Texas. His wife and son William preceded him in death. He was converted at an early age and united with the South Methodist church and lived a faithful christian life until death. Some few days ago he became very very ill; after all was done that loving hands could do, God, who doeth all things well, called for him. He leaves to mourn his departure; two daughters, Mrs. M. F. Hallman of Elk City, Okla., Mrs. H. R. Mansell, of Abeline, Texas; one sister, Mrs. W. D. Maddox of Elk City; one brother, Ben Weaver of Alabama, and a number of grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. S. Kattner, pastor of the First M. E. church, at the Gentry-Killough funeral home.
