(7 Nov 1930, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Final rites for Mrs. Anthaline Elizabeth Wellborn, 95, pioneer resident in the Carter community and grandmother of R. W. Breeze, of this city, were read Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the Carter Cemetery. Rev. C. C. Williamson, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church conducted the services. Mrs. Wellborn died at her home in Carter Wednesday. Two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Daffern, 72, and Miss Nancy Wellborn, resided with her for the past two months, and had been ailing in health for two years. G. W. Wellborn, husband of Mrs. Wellborn, died about five years ago. Approximately thirty-five great grandchildren and twenty five grandchildren survive Mrs. Wellborn. Five children besides the two daughters who made their home with their mother, survive. They are Mrs. Jack M. Breeze, Carter; Mrs. Sarah Sikes of Holdenville; Mrs. Mollie Bush and Butler Wellborn of Wellington, Tex.; and Mrs. Francis Farris, of Ft. Worth, Texas. Interment was made in the Carter Cemetery.
