Mrs. Edna Wells, wife of M. J. Wells, died at her home in Elk City, Tuesday morning April 28th, leaving a husband, three little children and a number of relatives and friends. Mrs. Wells was a good woman and left a bright testimony of christian faith and assurance behind her. Just before her death she talked of going home and her readiness to meet God. She was a member of the Methodist church and had been for years. Called away so early, only 24 years old. Funeral services were conducted at the residence by Rev. Randle. (Apr 1908, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Mrs. Edna Wells, nee Wood, wife of Mr. M. J. Wells, was born October 24, 1883, married to Mr. Wells, October 31, 1898, died at her home in Elk City, Tuesday morning, April 28, leaving a husband, three little children and a number of relatives to mourn her loss. Mrs. Wells was a good woman and left a bright testimony of chrisitan faith and assurance behind her. She was and had been for a number of years a member of the Methodist church. Called away so early, only 24 years old. The funeral services were conducted at the family residence by Rev. W. A.
