WELLS, MRS. E.
(31 Oct 1901, Elk City Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
We are pained to learn of the death of Mrs. E. Wells, who came a thousand
miles to nurse her daughter, Mrs. Dr. Watson, who was sick with the fever.
 Mrs. Watson no sooner became convalescent through the tender love and
care of her mother, than the mother was taken with the fever, and being
quite old and feeble, was unable to fight it off.  She passed away last
Monday night.  Mr. Wells was called here from Idaho before she died.
She was embalmed and taken back to Newtown, Mo., where she will be laid
away in the family burying ground.  Her faithful husband and daughter and
Dr. Watson accompanied the remains.
