WELTY, NETTIE
(11 Nov 1920, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
MRS. D. B. WELTY DIES
Mrs. Nettie Penstone Welty, wife of D. B. Welty, died yesterday afternoon
in a hospital here following an illness of three months.
Funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the
Street and Draper chapel.  The services will be conducted by Rev. Phil C.
Baird.
Mr. Welty, their daughter, Velma, and Mrs. Giles Penstone, mother of Mrs.
Welty, will accompany the body to the old family home in Pittsfield, Ill.,
for burial Saturday.
Mrs. Welty was 47 years old and had been a resident of this city for a
number of years.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian church.
Mr. Welty is president of an oil and refining company and a widely known
attorney here.
The above is from Tuesday's Oklahoman.  Mr. and Mrs. Welty formerly lived
at Sayre, where he practiced law.
