(22 Apr 1920, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): DEATH OF BROTHER W. S. White received a message Wednesday evening of last week, the 14th of the death of his brother, H. C. White at Woodward. It came as quite a shock as it was not known he was ill. He suffered from locked bowels dying on the operating table. The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon in the Methodist Church at Woodward. The I.O.O.F. had charge of the services at grave. The business houses were closed for one hour in respect to the memory of the deceased who had lived there for twelve years, and had been a member of the city council for six years. He was manager of the Pittsburg Mortgage Co., at Woodward. J. Luther Taylor, Pittsburg, Kan., president of the Pittsburg Mortgage Co., also an old friend of the family arrived here Thursday and accompanied Mr. and Mrs. W. S. White to Woodward, and remained there until after the funeral services. Another brother, John E. White, of Chickasha was also present, and a sister Miss Julia White, of Pittsburg, Kansas. Deceased leaves a wife and five children, three brothers and five sisters. Besides the brothers in attendance at funeral, one George White, lives in Pueblo, Colo. His sisters, Mrs. Luther Ringo, lives at Gerard, Kan., Mrs. Conway and Mrs. O'Man, in Kentucky. Mrs. Leslie P.
