WHITE, J. R.
(25 Jan 1911, Wednesday, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
J. R. White died in this city Wednesday morning.  He was taken ill Monday
morning with locked bowels and rapidly grew (worse), the morning of his
death the attending physician decided that an opperation (sic) was the
only hopes for relief, he was taken at once to the hospital but he died
before he was taken from the automobile.
Mr. White was a native of Pennsylvania, came to Oklahoma 15 years ago and
to Elk City six years ago.  He leaves a wife and four children, Mrs. Tom
Utt, Miss Maggie, James and Clifford, all live in this city.
Funeral services at the Baptist church Thursday, conducted by Rev. Sebe
Thomas.  Interment City cemetery.
