(28 Nov 1907, Thursday, Elk City Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): The unexpected death of T. E. White Wednesday morning was a shock to many old citizens of Elk City and this country. He was down with Typhoid Fever and a valvula weakness of the heart set in and carried him off suddenly. He will be buried Thursday at Elk City. Mr. White was a member of these lodges, Masons, Odd Fellows and Woodmen. He was one of those unassuming citizens who was loved by all good people. He was brimming over with a fine character. He came to Oklahoma about twelve years ago from Texas, he was thirty-eight years of age. He leaves a loving wife and hundreds of friends to mourn his departure. --------------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/beckham/beckham.htm
