(17 Sep 1908, Thursday, Elk City Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): JUDGE WILCOX DEAD Judge E. W. Wilcox died in his office at Clinton last Friday afternoon, of heart failure. Judge Wilcox was a native of Linn county, Missouri, and had lived in Oklahoma about ten years. He was a man of strong personality and wide influence. He was County Attorney of Custer county for two terms, and stood high in his profession. He was about fifty years of age and unmarried. While the deceased affiliated with no church, he belonged to the Masons, Odd Fellows and Modern Woodmen.
