WILCOXSON, GEORGE E.
(29 Nov 1928, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
George E. Wilcoxson was born in Oklahoma February 6, 1889 (1899).  He died
at Denver, Colo., November 20, 1928, at the age of 29 years, 9 months and
14 days.  Funeral services were held Sunday, November 25, at 2:00 p.m., in
the First Baptist church, Rev. H. W. Shirley conducted the services. 
Interment was made in the Fairlawn cemetery.  Gentry-Killough in charge.
Geo. Wilcoxson, who has been sick for so long in a Denver, Colo.,
hospital, died there Thursday night and was shipped here, arriving Friday
morning accompanied by his wife and his father and mother.
The entire community was sad Wednesday morning when the message arrived
stating that Geo. Wilcoxson, who has been in a hospital in Denver, Colo.,
for a long time, had passed away there.  George is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
L. E. Wilcoxson and grew to manhood in this community.  He was a fine
young man and loved by all who knew him.  We regret very much to give him
up, but our loss is God's gain we feel.
George was of a very bright sunshiny nature and will be sadly missed by
his loved ones and friends.  Especially his devoted wife who was so
faithful to him during his long illness.  We want to extend our heartfelt
sympathy to the entire family in their bereavement.
