Burial in Montcito Cemetery in Colton, California. Helen Peterson Williams was born on November 26, 1914 in Strong City, and died at her home in Redlands, California at the age of 87. She graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1930 and went on to college in Weatherford. On May 28, 1933, she married Claude Manciel (Mac) Williams, She lived in the Highway Community (south of Elk City) where their children attended school. In 1954 the family moved to San Bernardino, California and then to Redlands where she has lived for the past 40 years. She was preceded in death by her son, Joe K. Williams, husband Mac and her son James F. Williams. Survivors include two daughters, Vera Sewell of Redlands, and Ann Jones Beach of Grand Terrace, California; five sons, Claude Manciel Williams Jr., Huntsville, Texas, Walter I. Williams of Mira Loma, California, Bynum W. Williams of Ehrenbert, Arizona, Bennie D. Williams of Hesperta, California and Jerry D. Williams of Redlands, California; one sister Geneva Peterson Miller of Strong City; 29 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. The Elk City Daily News, Elk City, OK 22-Feb-2002
