The family moved to Oklahoma and for a number of years lived near Canute. She was married July 13, 1904 to Mr. Walter Wilson, and to this union seven children were born, three girls and four boys, all of whom are still living. Mrs. Wilson was the daughter of Mr. J. G. Reeder and was well known about Canute. Mrs. Wilson departed this life on Monday night December 15, 1919. Funeral service was conducted in the Methodist Church at Canute by Rev. R. R. Richey. She was laid to rest in the Canute cemetery (Washita County)l. Mrs. Wilson was converted in early childhood, and although she never united with any church, she continued in the Faith. As a wife and mother she was devoted to her family, untiring in her efforts bring sunshine and happiness to her home; she was loved and respected by all who knew her. In the loss of his wife, Mr. Wilson has lost the mainstay of his home, as there is no one who can take the place of a mother. --------------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/beckham/beckham.htm
