Wilna Ray Morse, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Morse was born near Morocco, Ind., December 13th, 1887 and died in Los Angeles, Calif., December 23rd, 1922. Age 35 years and ten days. Her childhood was spent in Morocco, where she attended school. In 1902 she came with her parents to Elk City, which was then only a city of tents, it being only a few months old. Here she continued her school life and grew to womanhood. She was married to Heber M. Wilson, October 14th, 1907, in Elk City, Oklahoma, to this union one child was born, Ellen Patricia, age 2 1/2 years. Two years ago they moved to California. After having lived in and near Elk City since her marriage. Wilna was of a cheerful disposition loved by all who knew her, meeting life's problems with great strength and fortitude, believing and trusting implicity in Divine guidance. She has a host of friends in Elk City and surrounding country who grieve for her and especially her childhood chums who feel that they have lost more than a friend. She was laid to rest at Los Angeles, Wednesday, December 27th. Besides her husband and child, she leaves to mourn her loss in the home at 345 West 61st Street, Miss Mildred Wilson and Roy E. Wilson, also a host of friends and relatives in the City; Her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Morse of Rankin, Oklahoma; four sisters, Mrs. Leota Cowden, Sapulpa, Oklahoma; Mrs. Jessie Souders, Rankin, Oklahoma; Mrs. Marjorie Waldron, Englewood, Kansas; and Miss Lelia Morse, Rankin, Oklahoma. Four brothers, Gaston Morse, Columbine, Colo.; Tom Morse, Columbine, Colo.; Monte Morse, Rankin, Oklahoma; and Vernon Morse, Rankin, Oklahoma. ---Grant Morse of Rankin, was in town yesterday and made us a call. He is the father of Mrs. Heber Wilson, whose sudden death came as such a shock to all just before Christmas. He said they did not know she was even feeling bad until news came of her death which was caused from appendicitis. She had sent them a nice Christmas box marked not to open until Christmas day. It was a very sad day for them.
