Deceased was a daughter of Wm. R. and Rosa Galloway, both preceding her in death. She was married to Harve Wilson January 18, 1916. This was a happy marriage, both ever looking after the interests of each other. She was so happy in her home, so devoted to her husband, and she looked forward so much to the joy of caring for the little baby boy who arrived in their home just three weeks before her death. She suffered a few months ago from influenza, which resulted in tuberculosis, but she did not seem to realize her serious condition, and when she passed away it was just like going to sleep with a happy smile upon her lips. Funeral services were held at the Edwardsville cemetery (Custer County) on July 20, the pastor of the Baptist church of Clinton officiating. Besides the husband, seven brothers and a sister are left to mourn her loss, two sisters having passed on before. The sister remaining, Mrs. Ada Fitzpatrick of Canute, is caring for the little motherless babe. The brothers are John Galloway of Clinton, Neeley Galloway of Custer City, Ralph, Sumner, Arliss and Andy Galloway of Canute and Henry Galloway of Moses, N. M. All were with her in her last illness, though her brother Henry had left before she passed away, leaving her as he thought much improved. All loved their baby sister devotedly. The bereaved ones have the deepest sympathy of all in this sad hour. --------------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/beckham/beckham.htm
