(1 Jul 1920, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
JOHN WISE DEAD
John Wise a prominent citizen who lived near Roll (Roger Mills County),
was brought to Elk City on Tuesday of last week and taken to one of the
local hospitals.  He was not thought to be dangerous, but his condition
became worse and he died Friday night.  He was thirty-nine years of age. 
He leaves a wife and five children.  W. H. Pankey of Roll came down after
the body.
