YOUNG, GERALDINE
(3 Nov 1909, Wednesday, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Little Geraldine the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Young of
Clinton, Okla., died at the home of O. H. Young last Friday, Oct. 29,
1909, at 10:30 p.m.  Little Geraldine had spent but five months and five
days in the home, having been born the 24 day of May last.  Thinking that
it would be best for her she was brought here just a few days before she
died.  Funeral services was held at the house Saturday evening, and from
there she was taken to the city cemetery and laid to rest.  A large crowd
of friends and relatives followed the little corps (sic) to the open
grave.
--L. D. Young and wife and baby came over from Clinton Thursday to visit
relatives.  The baby had not been well for some time, and was taken
suddenly ill Friday and died in a short time.  Funeral services were held
at the residence of O. H. Young Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. B.
G. Taylor, buried at the city Cemetery.  The parents have the sympathy of
their host of friends.
