ZIGLER, GEORGE
(20 Jan 1930, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
ZIGLER FUNERAL IS HELD TODAY
Funeral services for George Zigler were held at 1:30 this afternoon at the
Dempsey school building.  Mr. Zigler had been a resident of the Dempsey
community (Roger Mills County) for twelve years until about a year ago
when he moved to a farm one mile west of Elk City, where he died Sunday
afternoon.
Mr. Zigler was born March 14, 1862 in Ohio and lived there until coming to
Oklahoma.
Interment was made in Dempsey cemetery.  Gentry-Killough, funeral
directors, were in charge.
(6 Feb 1930, Thursday, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
George Zigler, age 67 years, ten months and four days, passed away on
January 18, 1930, at his home near Elk City.  He was laid to rest in the
Dempsey cemetery (Roger Mills County), Monday, January 20.
Mr. Zigler had lived in the Dempsey community since 1918, on moving his
family to Oklahoma from Ohio.  He had lived at Elk City only a short time
when death overtook him.
He was married to Miss Ella Lomer (?), December 14, 1899.  He was one of a
family of ten children.
He is survived by his wife and brothers and sisters.  His friends in the
Dempsey community were numbered by his acquaintances.
