ZINGG, SOPHIA
(1 Sep 1927, Elk City News Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. Sophia M. Z. King was born December 24, 1873, in Switzerland.  Died
August 22, 1927, age 54 years.  Funeral services were held Monday at 10
a.m. at the St. Joseph's Church, Father Gearheart officiating.  Grubitz
and son in charge.  (Buried Cavalry Cemetery)
---Several from this vicinity attended the funeral of Miss Sophia Zingg in
Elk City on Tuesday, August 23.  Everyone thought lots of Miss Zingg and
her friends were numbered by those who knew her.  We want to extend our
sympathy to the bereaved ones in the loss of their dear sister.

MRS. M. Z. KING IS QUITE WELL
One of those unfortunate mix-ups which are the bane of the life of a
newspaper man occurred in last week's issue, and one which caused more or
less trouble to the interested parties.  Just how it happened is a
mystery, but it is none the less regrettable and we take this opportunity
of making a correction, and thinking (sic) the parties interested for
their forbearance.
In writing a notice of the death of Mrs. (sic) Sophia Zingg the reporter
in some matter mixed it up so that it appeared that it was Mrs. M. Z. King
who had died, and as so many of Mr. and Mrs. King's friends saw the item
it caused them some embarrassment to say the least.
Mrs. M. Z. King is enjoying good health and we are pleased to say that the
news of her death was all a reporter's error.
