BARNES, MYRTLE ELIZABETH
(29 Apr 1926, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. Myrtye (sic) Elizabeth, wife of M. Barnes, was born at Bethseda,
Arkansas, on July, the 22nd 1888,  died April the 7th, 1926, at
Weatherford, Oklahoma, with an attack of the flu, of just a few days
duration.  Her age was 37 years, 8 months and 15 days.
She moved from Arkansas to Oklahoma with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. S.
Blair, January 2nd, 1907, where they settled on a farm near Texola,
Oklahoma.
She was married to Martson Barnes September the 5th, 1908, at the home of
he (sic) parents near Texola, Okla.  To this union five children were
born, four boys and one girl.  The oldest of which died in infancy.
She leaves to mourn her going, her husband and four children, father,
mother, four brothers and four sisters, as well as a host of friends.
She was converted at the age of 19, and lived an honest christian life
unto the end.
Mrs. Barnes was a faithful wife and a loving mother.  She was a queen
whose dominion was her home.
The body was brought to Erick, Oklahoma.  Funeral services being held at
the Methodist Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. H. H. Hutchinson.
