H. Brock, was born February 24, 1835, fell asleep in Jesus Oct. 20, 1918. She leaves six daughters and two sons to mourn their loss. R. C. Brock, Mayfield, Okla., W. E. Brock, Turkey, Okla, Mrs. C. S. Miller, Mayfield, Okla., Mrs. J. M. McCarty, Mayfield, Okla., Mrs. T. G. Garrett, Erick; Mrs. F. B. Taylor, Uewell, Okla, Mrs. A. C. Taylor, Edmond, Okla., Mrs. Mattie Johnson, Collinsville, Texas. Another soldier of the cross has gone down in the field, our ranks are broken, our strength is weakened. Who will step in to fill the gap? My brother, my sister, if not you, then who? She had been a loyal christian, a faithful mother, she had been a christian from early childhood. She died as she lived rejoicing in a Saviours love, a few hours before she was translated she sang a few words of the chorus of one of her favorite songs, When I've gone the last mile of the way I will rest at the close of the day, and I know there are joys that await me, when I've gone the last mile of the way. In conclusion, I would say, weep not as those, that have no hope but rather rejoice for your loss is Heaven's gain. You can rejoice in the fact she had fought a good fight, had keept (sic) the faith henceforth there is a crown of righteousness laid up for her, but, not for her only but, all them that love his offering. A Friend.
