BROTT, SAMUEL B.
(30 Aug 1906, Greer County Record, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
On Thursday night, August 2nd, 1906, death's unbidden messenger entered
the home of A. G. Greer, the second time in two months, and silently bore
away to the home beyond Grandpa Brott.  Death resulted from an operation
on the limb for a broken blood vessel.  He leaves a wife and two children
to mourn his death.
Samuel B. Brott was born in Genesee county, New York, Sept. 3rd, 1834.  At
the age of 21 he moved to DesMoines, Iowa.  In 1862 he married Miss Mary
Cunningham of DesMoines.  Moved to Oklahoma Dec. 5, 1905.  But now he has
passed through that ever opening door, where curtains never outward swing.
 His glad eyes have opened upon the green fields and still waters, where
none are every weary or sick.
