CHARLES (26 Feb 1920, Thursday, Erick Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): Mrs. Charles Brown, who passed away last Saturday morning at the home in west Erick, was placed to rest in the Erick Cemetery Sunday afternoon. The Funeral services were conducted at the M. E. Church by Rev. Jesse Crumpton before a very large concourse of sympathizing friends. Several songs were touchingly rendered by Mrs. Garland Galloway, Miss Eudora Bryce and Mr. A. D. Morgan, Mrs. Arthur Gillum, accompanist. The pall bearers were: Messers. Rube Ratcliff, Eurel Evans, Raymond Mayes, Marvin Fisher, Robt. Hood and W. B. Stubbs. Beautiful floral offerings were laid upon the grave by friends and members of the Methodist Church. Miss Eva Foster of Freemont, Ohio, and Mrs. Donnie Kind of Holgate, Ohio, sisters of Mrs. Charlie Brown, who's death is noted in this issue, came in Sunday morning to attend the funeral, and are here this week assisting in the care of the children who are still quite ill but are improving.
