Burrow was born in Bentonville, Arkansas, in 1844; died at Phoenix, Arizona, at the home of his niece, Mrs. J. T. Robinson on December 7th 1929. He was married to Miss Cynthia Edwards at Bentonville, Arkansas in 1866. To this union 9 children were born as follows: Mrs. Mary Smith of Collinsville, Texas; Mrs. Amanda Gilbert of Erick; John W. Burrows (sic) of Gage, Oklahoma; Jim Burrow of McLean, Texas; G. T. Burrow of Duncan, Oklahoma; Mrs. Belle Burrow of Brady, Texas; Mrs. F. E. Bowman of Phoenix, Arizona; Lee Burrow of Kansas City, Kansas; and Mrs. Emma Smith, who died near Erick in 1904. He moved to Collinsville, Texas, where he reared his large family, coming to Beckham County in 1889; filing on a quarter section 1 1-2 miles southwest of town. Some ten years ago his health failed and he and his good wife moved to Phoenix, Arizona hoping to recuperate - His wife preceding him in death 3 years ago. He was a loyal, consecrated member of the Church of Christ. An active member until his health failed. He numbered his friends by all who knew him. His family can look with pride on an honorable and well spent life - We extend to the bereaved ones our deepest sympathy in their hour of sorrow.
