CAIN, FOSTER F.
(4 Jul 1929, Thursday, Erick Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
F. F. Cain was at one time editor of the Beckham County Democrat, and
while here made many friends, who join with the Democrat in extending
condolence to the bereaved family in this sad hour. (Reprinted from Mangum
Star): Foster F. Cain, 64 years old, pioneer newspaper publisher of
western Oklahoma, died here at 2:15 o'clock Thursday afternoon of a
complication of diseases.  Funeral arrangements have not been completed
but, probably will be held at the family burial ground north of Clinton,
Sunday afternoon.
Mr. Cain was brought here the first of the week by his son, Ralph E. Cain,
employee of the Star and News at Mangum.  He was accompanied by his wife
and youngest son, Joseph.  A daughter, Mrs. Charles E. Shoemake and Mr.
Shoemake arrived from Buffalo, Thursday morning and a brother, R. F. Cain
came from Vici early Thursday afternoon.  Two other sons, George W., of
Durant, and Foster F. Cain, Jr., of Oklahoma City will arrive Friday
morning with their families.
