CAIN, ANNA M.
(28 Jan 1925, Wednesday, Erick Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. G. W. Cain departed this life last Saturday January 24th in Sayre,
Oklahoma at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Tim Herrington, was laid to
rest Sunday the 25th by the side of her husband who preceeding her only a
few years.  Grandma Cain was her familiar name to one and all was a few
days over 80 years old and had lived a devoted Christian life for 54 years
as she become (sic) a member of the Church of Christ while a young woman.
She leaves 5 sons and 3 daughters to mourn her loss.  She with her husband
became a resident of what is now Beckham County Oklahoma 34 years ago
settling on Turkey creek 8 miles east and 2 north of Erick.

DIED SATURDAY, JANUARY 24
Mrs. Anna Cain, age 80 years, 8 months and 13 days, died at her home in
this city, Saturday, January 24th, after an illness of short duration.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist church at Delhi, Sunday
afternoon, January 25th, Rev. Deatherage of the First Christian church of
this city delivered the funeral sermon.  Interment was made in the Delhi
cemetery.
CARD OF THANKS.
Words cannot express our appreciation of those friends who have shared
with us the long vigils by the bedside of our loved mother and
grandmother.  No sweeter memory can live in any heart than the memory of
true and helpful friends in the hour of sorrow.  The waves of sorrow break
upon every shore, and we can but hope that friends as true may gather
around each of you should sorrow invade your home.  We also wish to thank
the ones for the beautiful floral offerings.
