All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ CAMPBELL, WILLIAM HUGH (12 Jul 1928, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): After a long serious illness, Mr. Hugh Campbell was taken home to heaven last Thursday. He died and was buried the 5th. (19 Jul 1928, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): OBITUARY. Mr. William Hugh Campbell was born in Bonham, Fannin County, Texas, on January 28th, 1902. Died July 5th, 1928, at his father's home, Mr. H. M. Campbell, being 26 years, 5 months and 7 days old at the time of his death. Mr. Campbell had been in bad health for nine months and notwithstanding everything had been done by physicians and loving relatives as well as by kind neighbors that it was possible to do, the disease triumphed resulting in death coming to relieve him of his sufferings. He was married to Miss Anna Marie Tennery, Dec. 25, 1925, and to this union two children were born, one boy and one girl, the girl proceeded her father in death. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, one son, father, Mr. H. M. Campbell, four brothers and six sisters, namely, wife, Mrs. Anna Marie Campbell, son , Kenneth; father, Mr. H. M. Campbell; sisters, Mrs. S. K. Brown, Miss Lee, Miss Bwna (sic), Miss Ida, Misses Janie and Virginia Bell Campbell; brothers, William, Harold, Robert, Lonnie Campbell and a number of other relatives and friends. Mr. Hugh Campbell made a bright profession of religion some few years back, but had not united with any church. Services were conducted by Brother S. N. Wilson at the Cemetery attended by a large number of neighbors and friends. The Modern Woodman held impressive services at the grave.
