CAPPS, VELMA L.
(21 Jan 1909, Thursday, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
DIED.  Sunday, January 17, 1909, at the home of Charlie Capps, little Miss
Velma Capps, the only child of Vance and Spicy Capps, who are here on a
visit to relatives, and who now live at Tyrone, Okla.  Velma was born
March 14, 1905, age 3 years, 10 months and three days.  She was a bright
child and the pet and sunshine of the home.  The funeral was conducted at
the Erick cemetery by Bishop M. Hopkins of the Christian Church.  The
sympathy of a host of friends are extended to the grief striken (sic)
parents, they having lost an infant son not a year ago.
