COTHAM, WILLIAM H.
(5 Sep 1912, Thursday, Erick Altruist, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Wm. H. Cotham who came to Erick a few years ago from Tennessee was
stricken with Typhoid fever and in spite of his splendid constitution, the
most skillful medical attention and faithful nursing failed to bring about
his recovery although he seemed very much better until a few hours before
the end came.  Mr. Cotham died at his home in Southwest Erick Saturday
Aug. 31st at 12:30 o'clock, p.m.
Accompanied by his bereaved Mother, Wife and baby his remains were
returned for interrment (sic) to his former home in Tennessee, the funeral
party leaving here on the 12:15 train Sunday morning.  Mr. Cotham was cut
down in the radiance of Sturdy Young manhood and because of this the
bereavement to be endured by his devoted loved ones will seem to them more
crushing.  They have the sympathy of a large circle of friends here.
