COWAN, JOHN
(6 Feb 1919, Thursday, Erick Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
DIED AT SUPPLY.
John Cowans, who was pronounced insane last week and taken to Supply Okla,
was brought back dead to this city Wednesday, having died there last
Monday.  The immediate cause of his death was influenza.
Mr. Cowan sold his team etc. a short time ago, went to Burkburnett and
came home deranged.  He was sent to Supply as stated, many think he was
suffering from influenza when he came back.  The family has the sympathy
of the entire community.  He was a good hard working man and honest.  May
he rest in peace.
