CUMMINGS, JESS
(19 Apr 1928, Thursday, Erick Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Mr. Jess Cummings died at Mangum Wednesday morning at 6 o'clock with
leakage of the heart.  He and family left Erick last week on their way to
Hinton to visit relatives when he took ill with flu and an attack of
appendicitis, but his heart condition proved serious and was taken to the
hospital where he died Wednesday morning.  The deceased lived in Erick for
the past year and had been employed at Puckett's Grocery in the Meat
Department.  He leaves a wife and six children.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Gray Carter and interment at
the Plainview School House Thursday afternoon.  We extend sincere sympathy
to the bereaved.
