DAVIS, MILDRED E.
(4 Aug 1921, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Obituary.  Mildred E. Davis was born June 30th, 1840 in Virginia.  She was
married to Lawrence E. Davis in Virginia moved to North Carolina then to
Virginia then to Texas and then to Oklahoma in the year 1888, where her
husband died Dec. 17, 1911.  To this union were born 9 children, 4 boys
and 5 girls, all living except E. T. Davis, who died Dec. 13th 1919. 
Husband and wife became members of the Baptist church in 1875 and were
active members up to the time of their death, doing many good deeds for
their Savior whom they loved.  Mrs. Davis passed away at her home near
Erick Wednesday July 28th and was laid to rest in the family cemetery
Thursday July 30th.  Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. E. Bell.
