DOBSON, BENJAMIN HALE
(13 Oct 1927, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Benjamin Hale Dobson was born April 20th, 1919, at Texola, Okla., and died
October 6th, 1927, at Erick, Oklahoma, at the home of his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Gilbert Dobson.  His age was 8 yrs. 5 mo. and 16 days.
B. H. was sick only five days prior to his death.  He was a pupil in the
Erick Public school and also a member of the Methodist Sunday school.  He
was a child who was loved by all who knew him, a favorite among his
playmates.  He was intensely religious in his youthful manner, and loved
his Sunday School and the stories found in God's word.  He spoke often of
heaven and of his going some day to live with God's angels, and when the
angel of death arrived at his home he found one who was ready to accompany
him into that "Home not made with hands eternal in the heavens."
He leaves besides his mother and father, one brother, two grandmothers,
one grandfather, a number of uncles and aunts and many other relatives and
friends to mourn his death.
His funeral was preached by Rev. Hutchinson at the Methodist church and
his body laid to rest in the Texola Cemetery, October 8th, 1927.
(other notes):  Mrs. A. J. Hale left Tuesday for home at Texarkana, Texas,
coming in Friday night to attend the funeral of her little grandson, B. H.
Dobson.
